Dear ImageJ users,

I released a new version of the OpenSource software Bio7.

The application Bio7 is an integrated development environment for ecological modeling, scientific image analysis with ImageJ and statistical analysis with R.

The new release is available for Windows (64-bit) and Linux (64-bit).The MacOSX version will be released soon, too.

This release comes with a plethora of new functions for ImageJ, R, etc.

Some highlights of this release:

  • Improved the ImageJ menu structure and ImageJ plugins compatibility and Eclipse plugin integration in general.

  • Added JavaScript editor support (default opened in text editor but if Eclipse JavaScript editor is installed it can be opened and executed in the advanced editor, see video below).

  • Improved R editor and R-Shell (roxygen comments, refactor rename, improved code completion, etc.).
  • Improved the documentation editors (Rmarkdown, LaTeX, etc) for reproducible research.
