Detecting circles and calculating area

I am trying to detect the inner circles in the image and trying to calculate the percentage of area with respect to the the outer circle. Can I use ImageJ to achieve this? I am new to image analysis, so any help would be appreciated. Also, just wondering if there are any OpenSource OpenCV tools available? I have attached a sample image here

Hi @sbdk82

Welcome to the Forum!

In general you are looking for the segmentation of the big bubble and the small droplets. With the segmentation you can compute the size of the different regions and get the percentage. If you upload the original image others can help you. Here you can get more information regarding the image formats.

Hi @tibuch , Thanks for the reply. I will definitely try using segmentation.

@sbdk82 could you segment both the inner and outer circle? If yes, what steps did you follow? Thank you!
