"Find Minimum" function?

Hi all, I’m fairly new to Image J and this may be a simple question, but does anyone know of a “Find Minimum” function analogous to the “Find Maxima…” function? I’m trying to use a simple way to identify the center of the fovea on retinal images, and prior approaches have defined it as the darkest pixel in a region of interest. I’d like to identify the pixel with the lowest intensity and then be able to measure its coordinates and add it to an overlay.

Any suggestions about ways to do this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Good day!

Why not invert your image for this task?

Hello @tliu14 and welcome to the ImageJ forum!

You just need to invert your image and use the “Find Maxima…” function as you said

Brilliant, thanks guys.
